Project: EQAO Brand Refresh
Role: Designer
Agency: LG2
Year: 2023
Client: EQAO

Creative Direction: Ryan Crouchman

EQAO (Education Quality and Accountability Office) set out to shift public perception and showcase the positive impact of its work in education. Since data is at the heart of EQAO’s purpose, we created a design system that brings it to life. The refreshed identity retained the existing logo but refined it for better legibility and balance. It is paired with accessible typefaces, including one specifically designed for readers with dyslexia. A vibrant new colour palette, fully AODA compliant, assigns distinct colours to each grade level. Inspired by testing paper and data, the visual language uses grids, deconstructed graph shapes, and marker textures.
